Less things Terms of Use

Welcome to Less things. By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. Service description

Less things is a local-first decluttering and item-inventory app for iOS. It helps you photograph and catalog your possessions, record their purchase details, let things go by donating / selling / discarding them, set decluttering goals, and review related statistics. The app is completely free, contains no subscriptions or in-app purchases, requires no account, and stores all data locally on your device (and your own private iCloud when you enable it).

2. Cost

The app is provided free of charge. There are no subscriptions, in-app purchases, or paid unlocks. The app contains no advertising.

3. Your data and content

All content you create in the app (items, photos, goals, and so on) belongs to you and remains entirely under your control (your device and your own private iCloud). We can neither access nor store this content. Keeping your device and backups safe is your responsibility.

4. Acceptable use

You agree to use the app only for lawful, personal, non-commercial item management. You may not:

• reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app (except where expressly permitted by law);
• use the app in any way that could damage, disable, or impair it;
• use the app for any unlawful purpose.

5. Intellectual property

The app’s interface, the brand name “Less things,” its icon, visual design, and underlying software are owned by the Less things team and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms transfer none of those rights to you and grant you only a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app in accordance with these Terms.

6. Third-party platforms

The app is distributed through the Apple App Store and runs on Apple’s platforms; the optional sync feature uses Apple iCloud. Your use of those platforms is also subject to Apple’s respective terms.

7. Disclaimer

The app is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for your particular needs. You are responsible for your own data and for keeping your own backups; to the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss of data.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Less things team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of your use of, or inability to use, the app.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. The revised Terms will be posted on this page, and the “Last updated” date above will be revised. Your continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
