1. Does Less things cost anything?

It's completely free. No subscriptions, no in-app purchases, no paid unlocks, and no ads.

2. Where is my data stored? Is it uploaded to a server?

All of your data — items, photos, and goals — is stored locally on your device with SwiftData. Less things has no server of its own and never uploads your data. If you enable iCloud for the app in your system settings, that data syncs only to your own private iCloud account, which we cannot access.

3. Do I need to create an account or sign in?

No. Just open the app and start using it — no account, email, or password required.

4. What permissions does the app use?

Only photo-library access, and only when you choose to add a photo to an item so you can pick an image. It asks for no other permissions and does not access your library in the background.

5. How do I delete my data?

Swipe to delete an item in your list, or swipe to delete a goal in the goals list, to remove that data. To erase everything, delete the Less things app from your device — all local data is removed with it.

6. Which devices and languages are supported?

An iPhone running iOS 17 or later. The interface is available in 10 languages — English, Simplified Chinese, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Russian — following your system language.

7. What currency do the statistics use?

The total value on the statistics page shows the currency symbol for your device's region. Enter purchase and sale prices in whatever currency you keep your records in.
